Tiffy's First Holiday......Sayonara Penang

we have to say goodbye to Penang
and guess WHO is still hungry???

she sneaked into Cafe Mews.....

we wandered outside the room playing with the
crawlies.....of course she Did Not see us!!!
she was too busy ordering her food.....

and all this while dadster was resting.....


cheche Jhunelle nearly caught us.....

 delicious nyonya laksa huh....

yummy yummy mango, sticky rice and
coconut ice cream !!!


one dessert is Not enough???......

and served by the nice  korkor Faizal and
cheche Jenny.....


she was too busy being a glut that she did not
  see us enjoying the cool aircon with her, bol!!!


being the well brought up pups that we are,  ha....

we thanked our favourite cheche Chona
for taking such good care of us

and we asked her to
thank ALL the  other cheche and korkor
whose pics are Not here....

for their genuine warmth
and smiles

Tiffy's First Holiday......Food & More Food...

we awoke to explore Penang....
we hope???



Tiffy:  not yet CoCo as the hoomans are hungry...

they Can't be THIS hungry....ok,

let me explain HOW they eat....

a bit of this, that and that and
everything under the hot Penang sun...

breakfast....brunch.....lunch...
tea.....late evening snack....dinner....supper

does this explain How they eat?????
we kid you not!!!

they order little dishes everywhere
( geeeez,  these are hawker food
Not tapas!!! )
we went and Every time!!!

here's just Some of the dishes eaten DAILY
yes, daily!!! 

Rojak
a penang style salad with fruits/cuttlefish/
cucumber etc and tossed with prawn paste, chilli
and topped with ground peanuts 


Curry Mee
yellow noodles and vermicelli infused in
spicy coconut curry and with cockles
tofu puffs, cuttlefish, and shrimps as toppings.


Popiah
 jacama (yambean), diced beancurb,
and crab meat wrapped in fresh spring roll


Prawn Noodles
 popular noodle soup with spicy broth made from
prawn shells and heads.
served with slices of hard-boiled eggs, shredded prawns, 
 pork, crispy fried shallots and a spoonful of chili paste. 



Chendol (desert )
pandan flavoured noodles. shaved ice
  red beans in coconut milk and palm sugar syrup.


Fried Oyster Omelette
 fried omelette with fresh oysters, with starch mixed into the eggs.
the key to this dish is Wok Hei (breath of wok) as well as
 the generous use of fresh and succulent oysters


Chee Cheong Fun 
steamed rice rolls with oil, sweet sauce, and
Heh Koe (prawn paste sauce)
  topped with toasted sesame seeds, and fried shallots
and chili sauce (if desired).

and MORE deserts......


Chendol again!

Apong Balik
Malaysian pancake filled with sliced bananas...
delish!!!


Pulut Inti
glutinous rice topped with caramelised grated coconut flesh
  wrapped in a cut banana leaf to resemble a square pyramid.


Kuih Lapis
uses only Tapioca flour and Rice flour
resulting a very soft and tender kueh (dessert )
with
 delicious fragrance from freshly squeezed coconut milk.

 you peel layer by layer
just for the fun of it

(not eaten like this by all,
 but definitely by mumster! )


they are NOT still eating BOL!!!

mumster returned to the hotel and ate again
but that's another post!!!
