they Can't be THIS hungry....ok,
let me explain HOW they eat....
a bit of this, that and that and
everything under the hot Penang sun...
breakfast....brunch.....lunch...
tea.....late evening snack....dinner....supper

we kid you not!!!
they order little dishes everywhere
( geeeez, these are hawker food
Not tapas!!! )
we went and Every time!!!
here's just Some of the dishes eaten DAILY
yes, daily!!!
Rojak
a penang style salad with fruits/cuttlefish/
cucumber etc and tossed with prawn paste, chilli
and topped with ground peanuts
Curry Mee
yellow noodles and vermicelli infused in
spicy coconut curry and with cockles
tofu puffs, cuttlefish, and shrimps as toppings.
Popiah
jacama (yambean), diced beancurb,
and crab meat wrapped in fresh spring roll
Prawn Noodles
popular noodle soup with spicy broth made from
prawn shells and heads.
served with slices of hard-boiled eggs, shredded prawns,
pork, crispy fried shallots and a spoonful of chili paste.
Chendol (desert )
pandan flavoured noodles. shaved ice
red beans in coconut milk and palm sugar syrup.
Fried Oyster Omelette
fried omelette with fresh oysters, with starch mixed into the eggs.
the key to this dish is Wok Hei (breath of wok) as well as
the generous use of fresh and succulent oysters
Chee Cheong Fun
steamed rice rolls with oil, sweet sauce, and
Heh Koe (prawn paste sauce)
topped with toasted sesame seeds, and fried shallots
and chili sauce (if desired).

Apong Balik
Malaysian pancake filled with sliced bananas...
delish!!!
Pulut Inti
glutinous rice topped with caramelised grated coconut flesh
wrapped in a cut banana leaf to resemble a square pyramid.
Kuih Lapis
uses only Tapioca flour and Rice flour
resulting a very soft and tender kueh (dessert )
with
delicious fragrance from freshly squeezed coconut milk.

they are NOT still eating BOL!!!

Now THAT'S my kind of holiday. Eat, sleep, Eat, sleep.....and so on. Those don't look like the foodables that my PUs eat but I would surely like to gulp them down. Mom would nibble to make sure she liked them before she'd gulp, although the bananas in a pancake got her droolin'.
